The Guanaja Island Ecology Center

The Guanaja Island Ecological Center is pursuing the purchase of a property and building. The center's location will provide a homebase for coordinating and operating activities and projects. It will house visiting researchers, volunteers and staff, provide a classroom and lab space and also serve as the hub of a proposed public access trail system. The trails will connect the towns of Mangrove Bight, North East Bight, The Mitch, Lomas and Savannah Bight with the remote mangrove forests, hills and beaches of the East End of Guanaja island
